“Generation after generation was destroyed by wars because a man would seek the aid of his tribe, even if he was upon falsehood and the likes of that from trivial causes and despicable motives.
So Islam came to erase all of these loathsome outward practices in their lives when it made them equal with regards to the rights, and it made their slogans of allegiance to, “al-Islam”. And Islam made them excel over one another due to taqwa (righteousness) and obedience to Allah. So there is no excellence for an Arab over a non-Arab, nor is there any excellence for a non-Arab over an Arab, nor for a white person over a black one, nor for a black person over a white one, except due to taqwa.”
– From the introduction of Shaykh ‘Abd al-Salam Ibn Burjis

It is the Sunnah to go to the prayer in a state of purification and humility. This is based upon his statement (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam):
“When one of you performs wudū’ and does it well, then goes out heading to the Masjid, let him not interlace his fingers, for he is in a state of prayer.” -

Plural marriage contains general and abundant benefits. However, some people are cowardly regarding this, either due to having a scanty amount of wealth or out of fear of his first wife, her tongue lashing, and her evil, or due to other reasons. Hence, if one has the ability to do it and it is easy for him, then in order that one may be good to the Muslims and safeguard the chastity of the many young ladies, this is better. If it is not easy upon him, then there is no harm upon him ( having only one wife).

The recompense for one who commits this crime is that he is either executed, imprisoned, or his limbs are cut off on opposite sides. Then, a more severe punishment will come from Allāh on the Day of judgment.

The Meaning of Islam (A Brief Explanation of the Most Important Principles & Teachings)
This book is intended for new Muslims who have just accepted Islām and non-Muslims interested in Islām or almost about to accept Islām. It is also useful for Muslims wishing to revise or learn the basics of Islām in a concise manner and parents wishing to give their children a good foundation in the basics. This book serves all of these purposes at once and has been written specifically with all of this in mind. The utterance of the two testifications (shahādatān) regarding monotheism (tawḥīḍ) and messengership (risālah) enters a person into Islām.
