The Methodology of the Prophets in Calling to Allah – That is the Way of Wisdom & Intelligence Calling to Allah is a very great honour which is not reached through ease, response and love of relaxation. It is not reached except through beneficial knowledge, righteous actions, deep understanding and careful following of the way of the Prophets in calling to Allaah.
In this book Shaykh Rabee’ ibn Haadee al-Madkhalee explains in detail the methodology of the Prophets in their call to Allaah. In it, he answers those questions which face every caller to the faith who wishes to follow the footsteps of the Prophets: What should his call begin with? What should he concentrate on? And what is the goal of his da’wah to Allaah?
After discussing the methodology of the Prophets in calling to Allaah, he compares it with the different methodologies employed by various contemporary da’wah groups and movements that have arisen in our time and highlights the stark contrast between these new, innovated methodologies and the pure and perfect Prophetic way.

These are a few short words in clarification of the belief of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama’ah. It is necessary to write them down due to the separation and differing that the Islamic lives through today, which is represented by the abundance of contemporary sects and different groups. Every one of the calls to their (own) creed and praises his (own) group, until the ignorant Muslim is confused as to whom he should follow and who he should imitate…

In seeking to follow in the footsteps of some of the Imams of Islam who clarified matters of the Islamic belief system by way of poetry, such as Ibn Abee Dawud (d.316H) in his Haa’iyah, al-Nuniyyah by al-Qahtaani (d.383H), al-Laamiyyah attributed to Shaykhul Islam ibn Taymiyyah (d.728H), al-Kaafiyah al-Shaafiyah by Ibn al-Qayyim (d.751H), and Sullam al-Wusool fi ‘Ilm al-Usool by Shaykh Haafidh Al-Hakami (d.1377H) (May Allah have mercy on him), I have composed the following lines of poetry in the English language on some of the core beliefs of the Muslim. We ask Allah the Most High to make it beneficial for those who hear it and read it. Indeed, He is the All-Hearer, the One Who responds to the supplications.

Allaah sent him before the final hour as a bearer of glad tidings and as a warner: giving glad tidings of Paradise to the who fears Allaah, the Majestic and Exalted, and follows the Messenger; and as a warner and to bring fear of the punishment of Allaah and the fire for he who opposes the command of Allaah, the Majestic and Exalted, and disobeys the Messenger.
And I ask that Allaah makes everyone from those whom He has favoured with an infiltrative insight in solving doubts, and with beneficial knowledge that gives life to and aids
the hearts. And Allaah has made the revelation in the Qur’aan like the example of water, because with it is life for the hearts and with it is true insight into achieving solutions for doubts and their appearance.

From its harms is that the addict is a burden upon the society. He does not bring any good to his society nor is he successful in that which he brings forth.
From its harms is that the addict is despised and hated, even by the closest of people to him.
From its harms are the squandering of wealth and the inability to make noble earnings. So he resorts to earning wealth by way of criminal means. I seek Allaah’s refuge for me and for you.
From its harms is deterioration of one’s health and the contraction of incurable diseases, leading the person to death.
From its harms is the loss of dignity and inclining towards the wicked, from men or women.
From its harms is the shortening of life due to what it causes the destruction of the bodily organs and due to what it exposes the person to from grief and stress.

“Generation after generation was destroyed by wars because a man would seek the aid of his tribe, even if he was upon falsehood and the likes of that from trivial causes and despicable motives.
So Islam came to erase all of these loathsome outward practices in their lives when it made them equal with regards to the rights, and it made their slogans of allegiance to, “al-Islam”. And Islam made them excel over one another due to taqwa (righteousness) and obedience to Allah. So there is no excellence for an Arab over a non-Arab, nor is there any excellence for a non-Arab over an Arab, nor for a white person over a black one, nor for a black person over a white one, except due to taqwa.”
