An Explanation of The Four Fundamental Principles

$6.00

Before you is a small treatise that was written by Shaykhul-Islaam Muhammad Bin Abdul-Wahhaab, rahimahullaah and explained by Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzan. It follows on from his excellent work “The Three Fundamental Principles”. These “principles” that are expounded by the Shaykh are based in knowledge and recognition of the true Islamic monotheism (Tawheed) and its opposite which is to associate partners with Allaah (shirk). The Shaykh mentioned these two great and mighty matters of Tawheed and shirk due to their great importance and because many people have deviated regarding them.

Before you is a tremendous treatise that was written by Shaykhul-Islaam Muhammad Ibn ‘Abdul Wahhaab (d.1206AH). He was a great Scholar and Reviver (Mujaddid) of Islaam of his era. The Four Principles that he expounds upon are related to Tawheed and Shirk. Tawheed refers to the fact that there is none who has the right to be worshipped except Allaah alone, and that is the purpose behind the creation of humankind and Jinn as well as the primary purpose behind the sending of the Prophets and Messengers. Shirk is the opposite of Tawheed and its nullifier. It is to direct worship to other than Allaah. The author states the grievous sin of Shirk and how many Muslims in later times fell into polytheistic practices such as supplicating to the deceased in their graves and depending upon them for salvation. The principles are not based upon mere personal deductions, rather they are taken from the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him).

Two centuries after Shaykh Muhammad Ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhaab, the noble Scholar, Shaykh Saalih Al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him) has compiled this excellent explanation of the Four Principles in light of the times the Muslims find themselves in. Shaikh Saalih Al-Fawzaan is one of the great Scholars of our times and a member of The Permanent Committee for Islaamic Research and Verdicts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This is a simple and well-compiled book, easy to access and memorize for the general reader and the student of knowledge. We invite you to send this book as a gift to others, so they may benefit from it also.
