The Role of the Masjid in al-Islam (2nd Edition)

That which is not hidden from those possessing knowledge of the Islāmic Legislation, specifically the science of Hadīth, Tafsīr and Siyar, is that during the time of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم) and his rightly guided successor (رضي الله عنهم), the masjid was the place from the which every good emanated.  –al-‘Allamah Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyá al-Najmī (رحمه الله)

The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم) stated, “Whoever builds a masjid for the Sake of Allah, Allah will build a house from him in Paradise” (Ṣāḥiḥ Muslim).
