Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “The supplications and invocations are like a weapon, and the weapon’s (strength) is in accordance of the one using it, not solely by its sharpness, so whenever the weapon is perfect with no flaw in it, and the arm is strong, and there is nothing preventing it, the enemy will be conquered; and whenever one of these three is delayed, its effect is also delayed.”
