The Path of Moderation in Islām and a Repudiation of Extremism by The Noble Shaykh, al-ʿAllāmah, Dr. ʿAlī Ibn Muḥammad Ibn Nāṣir al-Faqīhī
The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, “You have completed seventy nations. You are the last of them and the noblest of them before Allāh.”
Shaykh Alī Ibn Nāṣir al-Faqīhī said, “By following of the Book of Allāh, holding fast to it and seeking guidance with it and by adopting the Sunnah of His Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم), this Ummah became the best of nations and the most moderate and just of them. This is due to the statement of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم), “I have left amongst you that which, if you hold fast to it, you will never become misguided: The Book of Allāh and my Sunnah.” The happiest of this Ummah with this superiority and the most diligent of them in terms of statement, action and belief are the Companions of the Messenger of Allāh (صلى الله عليه وسلم), then the tābiʿīn, then those who followed them in goodness from the three virtuous generations of Muslims. The Messenger of Allāh (صلى الله عليه وسلم) testified to their superiority in his statement, “The best of my Ummah are my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them.”
